Main functions
THEISA stores and works with theatrical information held by the Theatre Institute: performances of plays, persons, bulletins, papers, photographs, theatrical books and similar records. The database application is a client-server system on MS SQL Server, with Windows NT on the server and Windows on the client.

Tables
Key tables are persons known in Slovak professional theatres, theatres, ensembles, presentations of plays, users, reviews, sources, tours, festivals, fonds, collections and documents.

Reports
Reports are the main way to read the database. The user chooses output fields and query criteria. The output is formatted automatically. Reports are divided into groups.
Group Creators: author and presentation list, author nation, director, presentation history, and a general creator report.
Group Persons: roll and person list, presentation and rolls, actor and roll list, and a general report of persons and rolls.
Group Review: author and review list, presentation and paper list, and a general report of authors and reviews.
A report group with several filters, for example which plays by William Shakespeare include the actor Jozef Kroner.
Documents and generated texts
Administration and browsing of Theatre Institute documents.
Text files can be generated from the database in a simple format. They are the basis for the year-book Slovak Theatrical Season.
