Theatre Information System and Archive (THEISA) application is designated to save and manipulating theatrical information of all kinds, which are stored in the Theatrical Institute (TI). There are information about presentations of the plays, persons, bulletins, papers, photographs, theatrical books, etc...
Database application is written as client-server application in the MS SQL Server environment and MS Windows NT (server) and MS Windows 95 (client) operating systems.
Key tables are:
Persons - known in Slovak professional theatres.
Theatre - Slovak professional theatres.
Ensemble - ensembles of the theatres.
Presentations of the plays - presentations of the ensembles.
User - THEISA users.
Review - presentation of the play review.
Source - theatrical source of the presentations of the plays.
Tour - tours of the ensembles.
Festival - where ensembles had presentations.
Fond - theatrical fond of the TI.
Collection - collections of the TI fond.
Document - documents of the collections.
Administration of the THEISA
Are main parts of the system. They are designated for obtaining information from TI database. User can specify which output fields he need, together with criteria for querying. Output report is automatically formatted. The reports are divided into groups.
Group Creators consists of reports: Author - presentation of the play list, Author nation - presentation of the play list, Director - presentation of the play list, Presentation of the play history, and general report, Creator.
Group Persons consists of reports: Roll - person's list, Presentation of the play - rolls list, Actor - roll list and general report, Persons and rolls.
Group Review consists of reports: Author - review list, Presentation of the play - paper list and general report, Authors and reviews.
Report group with multiple filters, e.g. in which William Shakespeare's plays have acted actor Jozef Kroner?
Administration of the TI documents, also browsing.
Text files generating from TI database in simple format. These texts are used as basis for the year-book Slovak Theatrical Season.
